Florez.
Building Legacy. Funding Vision.
I’ve spent 20 years at the intersection of capital and homeownership. This is my philosophy on scaling businesses, managing risk, and spotting the signals in the noise.
The Origin.
I often describe myself as the luckiest man in the world.
My story began in Madrid, Spain. I was born to a Spanish mother and a Colombian father who had moved to Spain to be with her. When I was five years old, my parents divorced, and I made the journey across the Atlantic with my mother to Las Vegas, Nevada.
It was in Vegas where I eventually started my first mortgage company. To be honest, I didn't know what I was doing. I was simply in the right place at the right time.
But I stuck with it. I learned the industry from the ground up, navigated the volatility, and turned that initial stroke of luck into a career of resilience, eventually scaling to a Top 50 National Mortgage Company.
Today, I serve as the President, CEO, and CTO ofCardinal Financial Company. Leading a large-scale organization at the intersection of finance and technology has taught me that true scale is built on a foundation of operational excellence and relentless innovation.

The Investment Thesis.
The Shift.
YouTube democratized media. AI is democratizing the enterprise. We invest in the new behaviors this enables—businesses that physically couldn't exist 5 years ago.
The Frustrated Genius.
You are stuck in a corporate cog. You want to build, but you aren't a gambler. You want impact, not just a paycheck. We look for the polymorphs.
The Offer.
Stability meets Ambition.
1. Competitive Salary
2. Significant Profit Share
3. Full Infrastructure
The Platform
The Holding Company Advantage.
We remove the fear of "starting." We provide the infrastructure so you can focus on the invention.
- Risk Mitigation: We take the financial risk. You bring the talent.
- Network: Access to legal, media, and ops support from Day 1.
- Focus: You build the product. We handle the corporation.

The Worldview.
My philosophy isn't complex. It's built on luck, ambition, and the joy of the game.
Gratitude, Not Dogma.
I am not religious, but I am deeply driven to do good. This drive comes from a place of overwhelming gratitude. I often say I am the "luckiest man in the world"—I’ve been at the right place at the right time more often than I deserve. Giving back isn't an obligation; it's the only logical response to such fortune.
Capitalism for Good.
I believe in capitalism. It is the most effective engine ever created for generating resources. But I also believe those resources should have a purpose beyond accumulation. We build highly profitable, efficient businesses so that we can fund philanthropic endeavors. The profit is the fuel; the charity is the destination.
The Joy of the Game.
Business should be fun. We are looking for ambitious founders who love their vertical—not just for the exit, but for the puzzle itself. We want to work with people who wake up excited to solve problems. Life is too short to build boring companies.
The Goal
"We want to find the tinkerers, the dreamers, and the builders. We want to equip them with an unfair advantage, watch them win, and then use that victory to make the world a little kinder."

Decision Heuristics.
Hell Yes or No
If I have to convince myself to say yes, the answer is no. I conserve energy for the things that compel me immediately.
Hard Choices, Easy Life
I lean into friction early. Avoiding difficult conversations or decisions today only compounds the interest I have to pay on them tomorrow.
The Long Game
I optimize for 10-year outcomes, not 10-minute dopamine hits. If it won't matter in 5 years, I don't spend 5 minutes worrying about it.
Inversion
Instead of trying to be brilliant, I try to strictly avoid stupidity. Avoiding ruin is the first step to compounding success.
The Man.
I am 51 years old. A self-proclaimed geek. For the last 20 years, I have been the President, CEO, and CTO of large-scale, complex businesses.
I was born in Madrid, Spain, grew up in Las Vegas, and now call Scottsdale, Arizona home. While business is a passion, my world revolves around my family.
Why the Silence?
"For those of you that want to be rich and famous, try being rich first."— Bill Murray
If you search for me online, you won't find much. That is by design. My mortgage company services thousands of loans. We are bound by strict investor requirements, which sometimes means foreclosing on borrowers who don't pay. It is a difficult, necessary part of the industry. To protect my privacy and my family, I have chosen to fly under the radar. I let others seek the limelight; I prefer the quiet of a life well-lived.
